Description

Angelus Leather Paint Pewter

The Angelus Leather Paint Pewter from Angelus' metallic leather paint colour collection is perfect for giving a pair of trainers, furniture or other leather items a new look. This paint has a beautiful deep shade, is made of very high quality and therefore has great adhesion. Angelus metallic leather paint stands for optimal coverage and allows products to be painted a lighter shade than the original colour.

The paint has a beautiful opaque sheen and the metallic colours make your leather items real eye-catchers. It can be applied to all smooth leather surfaces. Angelus metallic leather paint does not flake or break, is scratch-resistant, does not rub off and retains its colour. Even the seams of your product will get the same colour. The paint is incredibly easy to use, allowing you to quickly and inexpensively give your leather items a new colour. Have you damaged your leather product? You can easily fix that too with our leather paint!

Using Angelus Leather Paint Pewter

  • For optimal adhesion, treat the leather surface beforehand with, for example, our Preparer and Deglazer.
  • Apply thin, even coats for an even and opaque result.
  • Wait 10 - 15 minutes before applying another layer of paint.
  • Leave the last applied layer of paint to dry for at least 24 hours before using it.
  • Use a finisher for extra paint protection and a finish (glass level) as desired.

Would you like to have a unique paint colour? Then mix two Angelus leather paint colours until you have the perfect shade!

How much Angelus Angelus Leather Paint Pewter do I need?

  • A small bottle of 29,5 ml is suited for painting one pair of leather shoes.
  • With a bigger bottle of 118 ml, painting an entire car seat or dining chair is possible.
  • For a small-seater sofa, we recommend using 4 large bottles of 118 ml each, for the best coverage.
  • The amount of Angelus Preparer and Deglazer and finisher required is normally half the amount of paint used.

How to use Angelus
Angelus black leather paint application is much easier than you might think. It is a matter of making sure you have a good preparer, by using the Angelus Preparer and Deglazer, for example. By doing this step by step, you will quickly achieve beautiful results.
  • Preparation

First, make sure the leather is thoroughly pre-treated, for example with Angelus' Preparer and Deglazer

You have questions? We have answers.

  • Q. For how long does the paint need to dry?

    A. We recommend letting each thin coat dry for 10-25 minutes; the final coat should be left to dry for 24 hours before applying finishers.

  • Q. How can I reduce the glossiness of the paint?

    A. The Angelus Duller was developed to specifically reduce glossiness in leather paint. Before painting, it is both easy and quick to mix the Duller with your leather paint to get a more matt finish.

  • Q. How much paint should I use?

    A. This depends on the size, type, and intended use of the item you are going to paint. A pair of shoes such as trainers can be painted with three thin coats using one 29.5 ml jar.

  • Q. Is applying a white coat of paint necessary before doing anything else?

    A. Even though Angelus Leather Paint has great opacity, lightening dark-coloured leather can be tricky. We thus recommend applying a coat of white leather paint first, to ensure the best colour quality.

  • Q. Should I apply the leather paint in several coats?

    A. Yes, always apply the paint in several layers using thin coats. An excessively thick coat of paint will not remain elastic, resulting in cracks and tears.
