Description

Angelus finisher normal

With our Angelus finisher normal, you will provide an extra beautiful finish to leather boots, bags, armchairs and other leather products. You simply apply it once the last layer of Angelus leather paint has dried. This gives the new paint layer a very subtle gloss finish. Not only does this give the paint layer a beautiful finishing touch, but it also protects the new paint layer against scratches and other minor damage. This ensures that you can enjoy the painted item even longer!

Note: the Normal finisher is not completely matte, but has a slight glossy sheen. After the Matte finisher, it is the lowest-gloss finisher in the Angelus product range.

Applying Angelus finisher normal

Applying Angelus finisher normal is quite easy. First, make sure that the paint layer on the item has dried completely - only then should the finisher be applied. The process is basically the same as when applying Angelus Preparer and Deglazer: you apply the normal finisher evenly, carefully including all seams and cracks. This is easily done with our special application pads or a very thin brush. Let the finisher dry thoroughly before you start using the item again.

Incidentally, you can also find various paint additives in our range to make a paint colour slightly less bright. Besides the Angelus Finisher Normal, we also have other post-treatment options for a finisher, including:

  • Satin
  • Gloss
  • High-gloss
  • Satin high-gloss

Also check out our sets with different colours of leather paint, which you can order easily and affordably from Angelus brand!

How to use Angelus
Angelus black leather paint application is much easier than you might think. It is a matter of making sure you have a good preparer, by using the Angelus Preparer and Deglazer, for example. By doing this step by step, you will quickly achieve beautiful results.
  • Preparation

First, make sure the leather is thoroughly pre-treated, for example with Angelus' Preparer and Deglazer

  • Painting

Apply a thin layer of paint, covering seams and cracks. After 10 to 15 minutes, add more coats until you reach the desired finish, usually after three to four coats.

  • Finish

Allow the last applied coat of paint to dry for at least 24 hours before using the painted product.

You have questions? We have answers.

  • Q. For how long does the paint need to dry?

    A. We recommend letting each thin coat dry for 10-25 minutes; the final coat should be left to dry for 24 hours before applying finishers.

  • Q. How can I reduce the glossiness of the paint?

    A. The Angelus Duller was developed to specifically reduce glossiness in leather paint. Before painting, it is both easy and quick to mix the Duller with your leather paint to get a more matt finish.

  • Q. How much paint should I use?

    A. This depends on the size, type, and intended use of the item you are going to paint. A pair of shoes such as trainers can be painted with three thin coats using one 29.5 ml jar.

  • Q. Is applying a white coat of paint necessary before doing anything else?

    A. Even though Angelus Leather Paint has great opacity, lightening dark-coloured leather can be tricky. We thus recommend applying a coat of white leather paint first, to ensure the best colour quality.

  • Q. Should I apply the leather paint in several coats?

    A. Yes, always apply the paint in several layers using thin coats. An excessively thick coat of paint will not remain elastic, resulting in cracks and tears.
