Description

Angelus leather paint cream

The Angelus leather paint in Cream will give your old leather items a new, soft appearance. This colour is widely used on home furniture, as it provides a light look; it is therefore likely to match other items in your interior! The neutral tone also combines well with other colours. Although you might expect that cream is not always very handy when it comes to dirt and stains, this is not the case with Angelus leather paint. In fact, this paint is waterproof and easy to clean! The leather paint is also elastic, so it will not break or peel off.

Applying Angelus leather paint cream

If you want to give a leather product a nice cream colour, it is advisable to do so with Angelus leather paint. You can do this easily at home without performing any complicated operations. It is a matter of patience and neat work, whether it is a belt or a large three-seater sofa. When painting leather, it is important, as with other fabrics, to ensure that the new paint layer adheres optimally to the surface. Grease and dust should therefore be removed. Fortunately, this is easy to do with the Angelus Preparer and Deglazer, also available from our range.

Using Angelus leather paint cream

With a bit of patience and attention, you will have beautiful results with our Angelus leather paint in cream. We recommend following the steps below:

  • Make sure the surface is grease- and dust-free and remove any applied finisher./li>
  • Apply the first coat of paint so that the product is fully covered (including cracks and seams), but make sure that the layer is not too thick.
  • Let each layer of paint dry for 10 to 15 minutes before applying the next layer in the same way, and repeat until you achieve the desired effect.
  • Let the last applied layer of leather paint dry for 24 hours before using the item.
  • For an even more beautiful result, you can also use a finisher. You can find one in our leather post-treatment, or finisher range!

How much Angelus leather paint do I need?

    • A small 29.5 ml jar contains enough paint for a pair of leather shoes.
    • With the large 118 ml version, you can paint a car seat or dining room chair made of leather.
    • For a large two-seat sofa, use 6 jars of 118 ml each of leather paint as a rule.
    • The amount of Preparer and Deglazer and finisher needed is normally half the amount of paint used.

You have questions? We have answers.

  • Q. For how long does the paint need to dry?

    A. We recommend letting each thin coat dry for 10-25 minutes; the final coat should be left to dry for 24 hours before applying finishers.

  • Q. How can I reduce the glossiness of the paint?

    A. The Angelus Duller was developed to specifically reduce glossiness in leather paint. Before painting, it is both easy and quick to mix the Duller with your leather paint to get a more matt finish.

  • Q. How much paint should I use?

    A. This depends on the size, type, and intended use of the item you are going to paint. A pair of shoes such as trainers can be painted with three thin coats using one 29.5 ml jar.

  • Q. Is applying a white coat of paint necessary before doing anything else?

    A. Even though Angelus Leather Paint has great opacity, lightening dark-coloured leather can be tricky. We thus recommend applying a coat of white leather paint first, to ensure the best colour quality.

  • Q. Should I apply the leather paint in several coats?

    A. Yes, always apply the paint in several layers using thin coats. An excessively thick coat of paint will not remain elastic, resulting in cracks and tears.
