Description

Angelus Leather Paint Bahama Blue

With Angelus Leather Paint Bahama Blue, you are guaranteed a truly eye-catching shade. Want to make dull shoes, jackets or furniture shine with a new colour? Then this paint is an absolute must! There is hardly any colour as striking as neon. The paint is easy to apply and also provides perfect coverage, allowing you to enjoy that beautiful new colour for a long time! For best results, pre-treat the leather with our Angelus Preparer and Deglazer before painting. This will guarantee that the new layer of Angelus leather paint will stick properly, as it removes grease, dirt and a factory-applied finisher, ensuring perfect adhesion of the new paint to the leather.

Applying Angelus Leather Paint Bahama Blue

When applying Angelus neon paint, we recommend following the steps below:

  • Before you start painting, make the product dust- and grease-free and remove the factory finisher (if any). For this, it is best to use our Preparer and Deglazer.
  • Apply the first layer evenly (and not too thick!) and let it dry for 10 to 15 minutes.
  • Then apply subsequent coats thinly as well. Does it cover sufficiently and achieve the desired result? Then wait at least 24 hours until you can use the dyed product.
  • You can use a finisher, ranging from matt to high gloss, for the best results.

How much Angelus Leather Paint Bahama Blue do I need?

    • A small 29.5 ml bottle contains enough paint for a pair of leather shoes.
    • With the large 118 ml version, you can dye a car seat or dining room chair made of leather.
    • For a small two-seat sofa, use 4 bottles of 118 ml each of leather paint as a rule.
    • The amount of Preparer and Deglazer and finisher needed is normally half the amount of paint used.
Are you looking for an affordable option for painting or dyeing leather products? Then we also have several affordable sets in our online range, where you can choose two or more colours!

How to use Angelus
Angelus black leather paint application is much easier than you might think. It is a matter of making sure you have a good preparer, by using the Angelus Preparer and Deglazer, for example. By doing this step by step, you will quickly achieve beautiful results.
  • Preparation

First, make sure the leather is thoroughly pre-treated, for example with Angelus' Preparer and Deglazer

  • Painting

Apply a thin layer of paint, covering seams and cracks. After 10 to 15 minutes, add more coats until you reach the desired finish, usually after three to four coats.

  • Finish

You have questions? We have answers.

  • Q. For how long does the paint need to dry?

    A. We recommend letting each thin coat dry for 10-25 minutes; the final coat should be left to dry for 24 hours before applying finishers.

  • Q. How can I reduce the glossiness of the paint?

    A. The Angelus Duller was developed to specifically reduce glossiness in leather paint. Before painting, it is both easy and quick to mix the Duller with your leather paint to get a more matt finish.

  • Q. How much paint should I use?

    A. This depends on the size, type, and intended use of the item you are going to paint. A pair of shoes such as trainers can be painted with three thin coats using one 29.5 ml jar.

  • Q. Is applying a white coat of paint necessary before doing anything else?

    A. Even though Angelus Leather Paint has great opacity, lightening dark-coloured leather can be tricky. We thus recommend applying a coat of white leather paint first, to ensure the best colour quality.

  • Q. Should I apply the leather paint in several coats?

    A. Yes, always apply the paint in several layers using thin coats. An excessively thick coat of paint will not remain elastic, resulting in cracks and tears.
