Description

Angelus Pearlescent Riot Red

With the Angelus Pearlescent Riot Red leather paint, transform your old leather into a new and beautiful shade. This leather paint has a subtle sheen with a slight sparkle, reminiscent of seashells. Our range includes various pearlescent leather paints, but you also have the option of mixing the colours to create a new shade yourself. This way, you can easily and quickly give a garment, furniture or other leather product a new look with Angelus leather paint pearlescent. The leather paint is easy to use and gives great results without a hassle. For the best coverage, it is best to pre-treat the leather by removing grease and dirt. For this, we recommend the Angelus Preparer and Deglazer.

Applying Angelus Pearlescent Riot Red

Applying Angelus pearlescent leather paint? If you follow the steps below, you will have the best results:

  • Before you start painting, make the product dust- and grease-free and remove the factory finisher (if any). For this, it is best to use our Preparer and Deglazer.
  • Apply the first layer evenly (and not too thick!) and let it dry for 10 to 15 minutes.
  • Then apply subsequent coats thinly as well. Does the paint cover the surface sufficiently and achieve the desired result? Then wait at least 24 hours until using the painted item again.
  • You can use a finisher, ranging from matt to high gloss, for the best results.

How much Angelus Pearlescent Riot Red leather paint do I need?

    • A small 29.5 ml bottle contains enough paint for a pair of leather shoes.
    • With the large 118 ml version, you can dye a car seat or dining room chair made of leather.
    • For a small two-seat sofa, use 4 bottles of 118 ml each of leather paint as a rule.
    • The amount of Preparer and Deglazer and finisher needed is normally half the amount of paint used.

You have questions? We have answers.

  • Q. For how long does the paint need to dry?

    A. We recommend letting each thin coat dry for 10-25 minutes; the final coat should be left to dry for 24 hours before applying finishers.

  • Q. How can I reduce the glossiness of the paint?

    A. The Angelus Duller was developed to specifically reduce glossiness in leather paint. Before painting, it is both easy and quick to mix the Duller with your leather paint to get a more matt finish.

  • Q. How much paint should I use?

    A. This depends on the size, type, and intended use of the item you are going to paint. A pair of shoes such as trainers can be painted with three thin coats using one 29.5 ml jar.

  • Q. Is applying a white coat of paint necessary before doing anything else?

    A. Even though Angelus Leather Paint has great opacity, lightening dark-coloured leather can be tricky. We thus recommend applying a coat of white leather paint first, to ensure the best colour quality.

  • Q. Should I apply the leather paint in several coats?

    A. Yes, always apply the paint in several layers using thin coats. An excessively thick coat of paint will not remain elastic, resulting in cracks and tears.
